Stuff for you

This is a collection of my favorite interweb stuffs, from webcomics to . . . well . . . more webcomics. I like webcomics, okay? But there's also some other stuff you might like. Enjoy!

Here's a link to Variant Minds, the blog of my friend and co-conspirator Micah Dettweiler. It's humorous and informative, and, unlike mine, it updates daily. *guilty laughter*

Stairwell is a webcomic about a man who talks to a manifestation of his own brain. Think Calvin and Hobbes after Calvin grows up, becomes depressed, and loses all motivation in life. But it's not actually as depressing as it sounds, and is usually good for a tidbit of amusement. Updates daily and is clean, so that's a plus.

Texts From Superheroes is pretty hilarious, too. It's exactly what it sounds like: superheroes and other sci-fi characters texting each other. Good for laughs.

Loading Artist features a very refreshing art style and truly funny humor. Used to update very infrequently, but he has since quit his job to work on the comic full time!

Here's another comic by an artist who recently quit his/her? job. Lackadaisy is the most beautifully drawn thing I read. Seriously, the art is gorgeous. It's a historical fiction story about a struggling speakeasy in the prohibition era . . . and guys, the characters are all cats! The story, dialogue, and characters are all very colorful; just be sure you start at the beginning.

JL8 is a non-cannon comic about the Justice League . . . and they're all eight-year-olds in elementary! Lot's of clever references, fun art, quite entertaining. The previous link is its official site, but I've found a more pleasant reading experience at this archive.

Switching veins, Poetry Foundation is a nice site to follow for your daily artistic fix. I usually read the poem of the day in the right-hand sidebar. I'm not much of a poet, but still find it worthwhile.
